Registration of cash registers, goods vending machines and taximeters.

Description of the service

Each cash register, goods vending (service) machine (hereinafter —goods vending machine), taximeter must be registered in the country state tax inspectorate (hereinafter — CSTI) in accordance with the procedure prescribed in the legislation. In the cases provided for in the legislation, the cash registers, goods vending machines, taximeter must be unregistered/reregistered.

At the CSTI the cash registers, goods vending machines are registered/reregistered/unregistered by the catering company, and the taximeters – by the carrier or an authorised person thereof. 

Documents to be submitted

When registering a cash register or goods vending machine the service company must submit a technical specification of the cash register being registered.

When registering a taximeter the carrier must submit the following documents:

- registration certificate of the taximeter,

- certificate of control evidencing the metrological control of the taximeter issued by the Lithuanian Metrology Inspectorate,

- documents evidencing acquisition of the taximeter (purchase documents, rent contract etc.),

- power of attorney issued to a person if the taximeter is registered by the carrier's authorised person.
