Checking for tax liabilities or arrears

To access up-to-date information on personal tax liabilities, arrears, penalties, interest, overpayments and tax payments not administered by the State Tax Inspectorate, sign in to My STI.

My STI may be accessed in either of the following ways:

• by using external systems (via e-banking, via e-government gateway);

• by using the login credentials provided by the State Tax Inspectorate (login name and password);

• by using an electronic signature.

To access up-to-date information on declared personal tax liabilities (e.g. personal income tax, land tax, value added tax, immovable property tax) which are not yet due or are already overdue (debts), or to check for interest on late payments, or to check for administrative fines imposed, select Mokesčiai ir baudos on the home page of My STI.

Detailed information on all obligations may be viewed by clicking on one the respective obligations link. Detailed payment information for obligations is given therein by individual contribution/payment codes. The system also provides access to information on the amount of the obligation on which interest is calculated, the date from and to which the interest is calculated, the number of days of the interest, the interest rate (%), the amount of interest calculated, the interest balance, etc. Interest obligations are calculated/recalculated and transferred to the State Tax Inspectorate system after the end of the month, between the 1st to 3rd days of the following month.

To access information on unreported taxes, unadministered contributions and fees (e.g. stamp duty, state fees for services rendered by municipalities or other state institutions, other budget revenues) paid by the individual to the State Tax Inspectorate budget revenue collection accounts, select the VMI neadministruojami mokesčiai link.

To access personal tax overpayments (overpaid or incorrectly paid amounts), select Permokos ir grąžini. Detailed overpayment information may be accessed by clicking on the respective overpayment link. Detailed information is given therein by individual contribution/payment codes.

Important: If an obligation has been paid, and the tax arrears are not yet due, then the obligation will stay visible on the accounting card until its due date.
